GORAN PETROVIĆ, PhD, Assistant Professor on the Department of material handling equipment and logistics systems of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering - University of Niš, Serbia (Head of the Department). He was born in 1974 in Niš. After completion of the Gymnasium “Bora Stanković” he entered the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš which he successfully graduated in 2000 on study profile “Mechanical Constructions and Mechanisation”. The Diploma thesis “Dynamic processes in the driving system of the bucket wheel of excavator srs 470.20.3 under the influence of resistance to digging” he completed diploma thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr Vinko Jevtić. In the school year of 2001/02, he enrolled in postgraduate (magister) studies at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš and defended his magister thesis “Simulation of dynamic behavior of excavator’s bucket wheel driving mechanism stochastic model”, in 2006 under the supervision of Prof. Dr Zaran Marinković. PhD academic studies (mechanical engineering) he enrolled (2007) on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš - module “Traffic engineering, transport and logistics”. The doctoral thesis titled “Multi-objective optimization of technical systems maintenance process based on probability methods and artificial intelligence” he successfully completed in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Dr Dragan Marinković.
