Description

The main objective of this lecture is to promote innovative and cost effective urban logistics solutions in order to develop systems that improve the liveability of cities while dramatically reducing resource consumption. This lecture will focus on a priority goal in EU transport policy that is to improve the efficiency and to reduce the environmental impact of freight logistics. 
Professor's presentation to the student will be realized on following sub-topics:  
1. Smart cities and communities - partnership across the areas of energy, transport and information and communication technologies;
2. Policy and research on resource-efficient logistics;
3. Environmentally sustainable and efficient solutions in logistics;
4. Urban logistics;
5. Innovation in urban mobility;
6. Know-how examples of EU cities

Impact Outcome of this project activity is that students should be able to apply previously acquired theoretical knowledge and some practical experience of European cities. Also, students will be able to begin their careers with full foreknowledge of the Smart and sustainable logistics in European cities.
